Skipper (Henry Franklin)
The man at the helm
Henry Frankliin was born in 1940 to Sammy Franklin, a west-coast big band leader. Thanks to the encouragement of his father, he eventually settled on the bass as his life-long instrument and passion.
Although Skipper has played with many greats over the years, his real passion is BeBop. He continues to play to this day and keeps himself busy guiding young musicians in the field to get them started on their own musical journeys.
